About me

I’ve been drawing and painting for over 20 years. It all started with drawings of horses in kindergarten. But soon, it was people who fascinated me most of all: facial expressions, postures, and the small details that reveal a person’s personality. To this day, I love capturing people artistically—both in my own work and in custom commissions.

I created my first portraits for family and friends at an early age. What continues to inspire me to this day is the connection to the people behind the paintings. A hand-painted portrait can preserve memories, tell stories, and carry a very personal meaning. These moments are the reason why commissioned works still hold an important place in my practice.

At the same time, after many years, I’ve fulfilled my wish to paint freely again. While studying cultural studies and business administration, this aspect of my life took a back seat at times. Today, however, I know that nothing makes me happier than spending time in front of the easel. In my independent work, I focus primarily on depicting women, inspired by the elegance of Art Nouveau and the question of how beauty, strength, vulnerability, and individuality can be expressed beyond the concept of perfection.

I was born in the Netherlands, grew up in Koblenz, and studied in Mannheim. Today I live and work in Hamburg—balancing my personal art projects with commissioned work.
